John Randal McDonald House Wauwatosa Destroyed

This is a once famous house owned by basketball star Kareem Abul Jabar. He lived in it while playing for the Milwaukee Bucks. At some point, it was torn down for new construction. Sources say that the house struggled against the elements so it was beyond savage.

It was located at the very end of 100th street off of North Ave and overlooked the Menomonee River. Two houses prior is another existing JRM house called Long Bow.

Donald Grieb - 1908 Bonniwell Rd, Mequon

Architect Donald Grieb 1962
Built for James Tiedjen - owner of Music Isle Record Company and later Milwaukee Tape Distributors (located at 5401 West State Street, Milwaukee)
Front door features commercial Schlage door hardware that is more commonly used by architect William Wenzler. This house is one of three MCM residential barrel vaulted roofs in the MKE area.

Built in 1967. Expansive house with first floor entertaining space with outdoor pool. Creative spiral staircase circling decorative collection of light fixtures leads to bedrooms and laundry on the second floor. The garage located on the south side contains the original structure found on the property--a small hunting shack--that Grieb converted into guest quarters.
